After leaving Nutragenetics in 2016 I set my mind on starting my own business and to have the best summer of my life.

 

Rucker Outdoors LLC was my first business venture and it was a SUCCESS... well until I realized I needed more money. My goal was to source innovative outdoor products I could easily sell online and in-person. I researched and funded a large shipment of inflatable couches that were relatively unknown in the USA.. I seized the opportunity to create a  lifestyle brand and share an interesting new take on outdoor relaxation.

 

The feedback was enormous and I knew I I would need to act fast before larger brands could beat me to the market...

 

I created my own eCommerce store, built a robust following on social media through paid and organic traffic, and spent most of my summer days playing volleyball with friends! I usually sold at least 1-3 sacks per day just by doing demonstrations at the volleyball courts. Unfortunately, success was short lived when the market became quickly saturated with cheap knock-offs. I struggled to find more products with high margins and high demand. I decided to shut down my site and figured it was time to go back to the workforce and continue to learn more.
